Proposal Coordinator

In this role, you will have the unique opportunity of managing opportunities for one of ATG’s Business Development Teams. The Proposal Coordinator will be responsible for prioritizing proposals and business development strategies, including: creating and responding to proposals, developing sales and marketing collateral and tracking the team’s operability and effectiveness.

This position will report to the Regional Director, Healthcare for ATG. The ideal candidate is an ‘up and comer’ looking to make a career jump – an individual who has a rare blend of marketing experience, proposal development acumen and thrives in an entrepreneurial environment where proactive solutions are celebrated and rewarded.

Your day-to-day will focus on the following initiatives:

Proposal Development 

  • Manage the proposal development process; includes
    • Tracking proposal status
    • Prioritizing the proposal requests (approximately 800 per year)
    • Assessing requirements
    • Acquiring content from subject matter experts and team members
    • Formulating clear and effective responses and complying with all requirements
  • Initiate and lead discussions with internal stakeholders to develop and communicate win themes, strategies and design approaches
  • Create proposal sections that are organized, succinct and persuasive to comply with client requirements aimed at winning new business
  • Support ongoing and seek new business development activities

Business Development

  • Manage the proposal activities in the CRM (currently ACT by SAGE)
  • Maintain the existing client matrix (in Excel) which tracks the client’s purchasing power, budget cycle, and other criteria critical to establishing the business development potential for each client
  • Assist with the preparation of PowerPoint presentations for speaking engagements and client /prospect meetings

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in English, Communications, Marketing or Business.
  • Preferably 2-3 years of related business development communications experience, with experience working directly in B2B proposal management. Professional services industry preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to assimilate, coordinate, and respond to proposals.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, effective presentation skills, and the ability to interface with senior management, functional departments, and customers.
  • Unyielding attention to detail
  • Intellectual capacity to absorb and translate broad concepts and ideas into clear and logical communications
  • Flexible and a proactive individual able to work under their own initiative
  • High degree of energy, assertiveness and creativity
  • Ability to prioritize work under pressure
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel),
  • Team player with a collaborative spirit
